Missy Torgerson

Missy Torgerson’s passion for employment law sparked during her undergraduate education at the University of South Carolina. Since then, she has decided to dedicate her career to ensuring that employees are treated lawfully and obtaining justice when they are not.

During Missy’s time at Emory Law School, she served as the Director of Communications and Events for the Emory Law Moot Court Society and planned three conferences for the Legal Association of Women Students. While in the Moot Court Society, Missy competed at the Cardozo BMI Entertainment Law Competition, where she and her teammate made it to the semi-final round. She also served as Vice President for the Labor and Employment Law Society. Missy often served as a mentor to younger students and hopes that she will continue to help those who are hoping to pursue labor and employment law. In April 2019, Missy received the distinction of Georgia Association of Women Lawyers 2019 Outstanding Law Student, Emory University.

When she can, Missy loves visiting Six Flags and spending time with her cat. She cheers for the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Erskine Flying Fleet, where her sister plays volleyball. Often you can find her checking out the music scene or finding another good book to read.
